After starting out as an English teacher in 2012 and also becoming the Avid coordinator in 2021, this Q & A explores what feelings Mrs. Bartsch had after becoming an assistant principal this year.
What was your biggest concern moving up and becoming an assistant principal?
“I was nervous that I wasn’t going to be able to get to know the students better than I would’ve in the classroom”.
Do you like being assistant principal rather than a teacher so far?
“I like both positions a lot, but they are very different, I used to have a day-to-day schedule in set but now I have to make my own schedule”.
How have your responsibilities changed?
“I have to handle more adults now, also there is more responsibility and more legal procedures I have to follow”.
