As the Halloween season approaches, students are gearing up for a variety of festive activities that capture the sport of fright and fun. From haunted attractions to cherished memories, this years celebrations promise to be a mix of thrills an d delights. We caught up with two students to hear about their plans and favorite Halloween traditions.
Aiden Folds, a junior has big plans this Halloween.
“I am planning on going to field of screams, carving pumpkins with my family, and then probably going to watch ‘Seven’. It’s an old horror movie,” he shared. Aiden is excited about the spooky season, stating “I love it! It’s so much fun.”
While he wont be dressing up this year, his fond childhood memory stands out: “When I was younger, there was this stuffed Frankenstein I would sit next to at my grandma’s house. His name was Uncle Frank. I’d take pictures with him. That is my favorite memory” Folds said.
Next let’s take a look at another fellow student.
Bishop Smith also a junior shared his enthusiasm for the holiday, celebrating in a different way.
“I guess I’ll take my little cousin trick or treating,” he said, expressing his long-standing connection to Halloween. “I mess with it. I’ve messed with it since I was like three. My first costume was a Ninja Turtle.” His excitement really showing as he recalls his favorite Halloween treat: “My first king-sized candy bar. That was exciting!”
As Halloween approaches, both Folds and Smith remind us to embrace the spirit of the season, whether it is through family traditions, dressing up, or simply enjoying the excitement of trick-or-treating. So, get festive and prepare for a Halloween filled with frights and delights.
